Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Seems again , you have penchant for Zen sayings , but where does this lead you to quote it so ? One is to emmulate the teacher/rabbai's example , is what I see stated there , for he is living in better accord with "God" .
We are awakened , reborn, refreshed , bathed and focussed in "His" pure light .
When one dies to the world of "things", one opens up to another world of direct experience , when one puts away the childish things , loses ego for a greater self....etc.

I suppose this means to you , once again the age old & terribly sad enheritance of Christian indoctrination , that only through "Jesus Christ" is this exciting transformation to come ...and further still from the "Father" , from which He , and ONLY HE, came and became one with. But no-other since time began has ever seen the "Father", or the "Kingdom" , as Jesus had ? So much pain that belief has caused the world and wrapped around blood drenched flags and banners of ...and for some a few joys , i would suppose .

Always liked this pure , plain and direct instruction here for where you may begin to look for the Kingdom of God ...the ending of the Gospel of Thomas

His disciples said to him: "On what day will the Kingdom come?" "It will not come when you are looking outward for it. They will not say; 'Behold it is there!' or; 'Behold, it is that one!'. Rather, the Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth and men do not see it.

"

So it just might ...might then have something to do
with how we "See"?

The world's eldest religion, bases so much on this concept of "seeing" God , you'll notice that there are no boundries to the Kingdom of heaven ...and that its funny that the Christians have missed it for so long . But time and truth have a way of equalizing/democratizing all things , and you have your religion and others have theirs.

And they all lived in peace happily ever after ....

;-)

PS: I forgot that your god is a jealous God . So all others can't play in the sandbox with you.
Oh well...
