I don't understand the significance of the "pilot plant" and the choice of the ASMLF system. My most cynical take is that this is a marketing ploy and the ASMLF tool is best suited for the "mickey mouse" wafer processing that will occur in a demo plant.

The market has chosen ASMLF because they have clear earnings visibility and excellent prospects.

I don't believe that these are new inputs with respect to SVGI. SVGI is still in a position to determine its future. The 0.15 micron issue could very well be a key to the next cycle, but the "optical approach" is the only one currently presented by Nikon, Canon, ASMLF, and SVGI.
