No one really knows what will happen when the poles cross The change of polarity of the poles they think will be rapid , probably not so much the kind of changes we cannot deal with ...but the lights in the sky will be tremendous there for a few centuries . Its those stray meteors that worry me the most...long as they stay under a hundred feet across or so and land in the other hemisphere ! ;-) ...now , how much Gold and Uranium does Mars have ? Maybe diamonds too , but every space traveller wants to find gold . Great conductor, though pretty heavy stuff a little does go a long, long , long way , and makes the best circuits
