So you are saying CPU shipments are due for a rapid increase because of margins?

Exactly.

Clearly something is restricting sales now.

AMD's unwillingness to crank up lower priced supply in order to stimulate further demand due to cost of production and resulting margins. This assumption can be based on reasonable yield expectations w/130nm K8 die size.
