His situation is quite unique, given the assertions
made, to this very date, that he was the rightfully
elected President, that he was "cheated out" of the
Presidency, that he won the popular vote, etc. etc. etc.

If it's true that the Republicans cheated Gore out of being elected President, it must also be true that the Democrats cheated him out of being re-elected. He couldn't even get the nomination.
