It is interesting to me that it was expressed in 85% of variuos malignant tissues tested. Telomerase was in none of 70 somatic tissues tested. For me that would be very convincing, what I find curious is that it was in all four germ-line cells tested. Telomerase is also expressed in primordial stem cells. Perhaps this research has less to do with not dying, and more to do with birth.

I have bought on to the concept of the Telomerase diagnostic, but not the therapeutic as a much. squetch
