The article is clearly excessive and serves to balance the effusive, unrealistic rhetoric that seeks to canonize Reagan, place him on Mount Rushmore and the ten dollar bill.

Reagan was not an unequivocally popular nor prescient President. No one is served by those who pretend otherwise.

My personal opinion about Reagan is pretty benign. I can see more than one side.

I have read your thread header enough to know it quite well. To think that Reagan did no ill 'defies reality.'
I have posted articles by some who experienced his mistakes. To grasp the truth the dissident must be heard.

I appreciate the balance. And I like the dialogue.

I suspect you will again boot me from your thread; not because I have deviated from your guidelines, nor because I am a Kool Aid drinking lefty - because neither is true, but because I am a fly in the ointment.

If you think that salves (pun intended) something or protects what you think is true you are wrong.

I adhere to the tenets of your thread header and ask that you do too, except you can feel free to insult me as much as you wish, because you have no idea who you are talking about and resultantly I find your insults comical.
