Ted, how about describing the popups. Maybe someone will recognize them. Gottfried

The pop up says at the top "Loading........Microsoft IE provided by AOL." Usually its advertising something like a screensaver or traveling or even a university.

One just popped up but I couldn't read what it said.

Sometimes they pop up very fast and then go back down. And then a message comes up asking if you want to close the web page.

When I went to the sites last nite, they talked about socket of trois. They way they described it, it sounds very much like what I am experiencing except they have NAV so every time a web page would pop, the NAV would get activited. It was driving them crazy.

Another one just popped up advertising free bingo.

Then after a while, the popups drain your resources and you have to reboot and the whole thing starts all over again. All the people who report problems said they started right after rebooting. If I can shut them down fast enough and not drain my resources........they will
stop.....indefinitely.

Another one just popped......I say one but they come in twos. One of them was advertising pics.

Do a google on "socket of trois"........you will see for yourself what people are saying.

Right now, my pc is making clicking sounds like when you have two applications running at the same time.

What a pain in the butt!

Another one just popped!
