Open-market options and ESOs don't independently exist in some strange anti-parallel universes. They exist here .. in the same universe, solar system, planet, continents, and countries. Here!

It's only logical that if the former has value, ESOs do too. Not exactly the same value, but not $0 either.

AFAIK "they" .. have not suggested a more credible method of determining valuation .. other than sticking with the specious $0 argument, of course. If you know of another credible suggestion, let us know.

Perhaps, but it directly addressed a crucial point about expensing options. OTOH you seem unwilling to respond in a direct manner.

Haven't you ever wondered why employees don't refuse the options .. because they are without value?

Haven't you ever wondered why a large portion of the anti-expensing folks are direct and indirect recipients of option benefits ?
