Powell for Iraq?! Crikey Andrew, you guys are slow over there. I recommended him way back in March 2003: Message 18867574

There could have been a lot of carnage avoided if he hadn't been stuck in Washington with the RRR [Rabid Republican Right] ranting about the PNAC, giving out Valerie Plame's names, annoying we UnAmericans, hassling Colin and generally making a hash of things. He could have been quietly sorting things out in a big way on the ground, including getting the NUN established.

Here's another on Colinisation Powell as Viceroy Message 19780986

I've also suggested Bill Clinton as NUN guy on the ground in Iraq to establish the NUN in cahoots with Colin, or even as Viceroy, but Colin would be better to deal with the local Iraq sorting out. 19 March 2003 Message 18723321

George Bush should get on the case right now, in time to make some progress before the elections to show that he is really making things good.

Come on George, phone Bill and send him and Colin Powell on Air Force One to Iraq, picking up Kofi on the way.
