IMHO, the egos of these people are simply too great for them to turn down anything, much less a VP slot. This goes for both parties. There may be a potential candidate or two that has turned down a VP offer from "their" party, but I don't remember who or when. My guess is that kerry will go with edwards or clinton. Of course, kerry could always use the media to name yet another handful of republicans like Cohen, Hagel, McCain etc. <g>
