one of the nice things the east has over the west, is history and 'old' stuff like heritage buildings and towns; and, like the locks, for example. beautifully maintained reminders of early simpler times.
Yes, it's true. I find there's a different "feel" here when I'm travelling around the countryside. I like to photograph old log cabins and barns, the ruins of stone woolen and flour mills (we have a great many on just about every river in this area), water-powered sawmills, stone bridges with 3 to 5 span arches, and such things as the canals and locks. That kind of history turns up just about everywhere you travel in this area.

Yes it is. I enjoy enjoy just about everything about being in N.S. -- Mahone Bay, the Digby Neck and Brier Island, Cape Blomidon. Can't wait to get back there sometime soon. (o:
