I just checked PestPatrol and there is no quarantine button (been a while since I checked all functions)on my version 4.4.3.24. I have always chosen to delete everything it finds offensive. There is a restore function if you change your mind. The info on the PestPatrol site shows the button. I'll have to check that out.

From the company

"How does PestPatrol Evaluation copy differ from the licenced version?

The evaluation version is unable to delete files or quarantine them. There are no other differences.

Some folks have complained that the evaluation version is "crippleware." They are surely entitled to. Our evaluation version runs for one year. During that period, we provide free updates of the engine, the scan strings, the pest database. We also provide free support for all evaluators for one year. Someone wishing to move from evaluation version to commercial version needs to pay less than $30. So we are not exactly getting rich on either the evaluation version or the commercial version.

While the evaluation version does not delete or quarantine pests that it finds, it provides the full file path, if the evaluator wants to kill a pest on their own, they can do. And with so many evaluators claiming that their machines are pest-free because they use other products, this does not seem like much of an imposition to us.

But we welcome your comments. It is a hard thing to earn a living in this world, trying to sell software. We'd appreciate any ideas on how we might earn some money while helping everyone protect their machines."
