Thanks for your post. Credit is indeed easy to come by. I try to maintain the poster that if I loose everything in the market, I will still owe nobody anything - but I would be pretty poor. Fortunately, the market has been kind to me.

Everyone had their own crystal ball at times like this. The market seemed to start off a bit slow today, but gained negative speed. It agains seems that a confluence of issues drove the market down. Profit taking is cited, as was the Buffett story, the train strike, and MCI/BT, and the bonds tanked a bit. So with a 300 point run up, it took some back. My guess would be that we would have at least a neutral day tomorrow, by the end, and we might even recapture some of the "profit taking". I have no charts, so I am just guessing - based upon the absence of much more negative news. It would be very helpful if the bond market recovered a bit.

If someone wanted to share a quick lesson on what drives the bond market, I would be interested in learning. There must be some better explanation than it being a safer investment than equities.
