Clapper,

<I just don't have much of a clue as to what types of flies
to get. Dry? Wet? Beaded? Nymphs? Wooly buggers?>

I do fly fish - the easiest was to decide is to see what kind of bugs are on the water and what they are eating. OR....just use the coolest one you have - (Wooly bugger is a good one)

Had a friend who used to work for Spaulding Sporting Goods in marketing. He played a ton of golf. When he moved to Colorado, he went fly fishing for the first time. Now, that's all he does....golfs only occasionally...totally hooked.

Fly fishing is relaxing and Zen like. We do a lot of it when we go to Canada in the summer - I even catch some fish. Have a cheap rod, an old Mitchell reel and a small box of flys. Never got into tying flies - I hear that is addictive.

I think you would love it - nice Trout in the Adirondacks.

All in the wrist.... "10 and 2"

Golf and fly fishing are a nice combination.
