- inflation (fuel prices and food)
- wage pressure, no wage increases for workers whatsoever
- inflation in housing prices which I realize are good for a few but hurt many
- bear market that lingers

This IS a bear market and has been for about the entire Bush term, the counter trend rally in 03 does not a bull market make. The markets will probably be down this year or flat. Layoffs continue.

Of course in some respects Bush is much worse than Carter- federal spending.
