Like Harry, I had knee arthrsocopy surgery last fall. I requested propofol. Fell asleep rapidly, awoke rapidly, full consciousness before the cart rolled out of the operating room. Best was I awoke refreshed, no hangover effect. If they invented a sleeping pill that worked as well it would be a $10B drug :-)

Lack of hangover effect is a prime reason nurses love administering propofol. Speeds up post procedure recovery and exit!

Not sure exactly how this compares to propofol, probably similar? :

<<<Brief episodes of apnea, defined as lack of spontaneous breathing for more than 15 seconds, were reported in 5% of patients and were successfully resolved without medical intervention. No patients required respiratory support or endotracheal intubation. There was no pain at the injection site reported. There were three episodes of mild, transient hypotension, all of which were successfully treated with a short course of fluids or ephedrine.>>>

Lack of respiratory depression was one of aquavan's supposed benefits vs propofol. Are sleep apnea and hypotension linked to respiratory depression?

I think glfd's commercial strategy is to go into markets where propofol can't be used. Head to head, aquavan is unlikely to do well against generic propofol. So a sound strategy imo.

All that said, market cap is so low, if aquavan just gets approved, glfd stock will probably do well.

Side note, interesting glfd transaction today. First thought, any ownership conflicts of interest?
