I don't know. But I'd be reluctant to let our truest ally in the ME stand up alone against a cast of Arab countries that are totally beligerent toward it. A Pew survey (?), I read a while back, showed that about 70% of ME Arabs consider the vanquishing of Israel a viable option to solving the PA situation. Israel is THE superpower in the region........she would do very well against any Arab attack. And just because we cut off aid does not mean we couldn't come to her defense if she were attacked. Cutting off the aid would also wean Israel from her US dependency and she might start to negotiate in good faith with the Palestinians. BTW remind me again what our alliance with Israel does for us? I keep asking the question and I don't get an answer. And pay no mind to mph's reasons..........her answers come off cue cards supplied by the RNC. <g> ted
