Honestly, the fact that Clinton admitted he did it "because he could" is a blatant statement that he abused his power against this near-teenager. If it were Brittany Spears, I wouldn't be bitching, because she has "been around" and has power of her own. But Monica was a confused child at the time, and Clinton took advantage of the situation.

You've got this 'could' thing all mixed up with your power rap. He 'could' because Monica was willing, and not because he sprinkled presidential fairy dust over her and that made her willing. Outside of the purview of rape, the only way one can have sex is because he/she could; that is, the sexual act was consensual.

He "could" in spite of the fact that it violated his marriage vows.

But whatever he meant, the whole thing is fairly boring and very past tense. Its only because his book is out that we are having this discussion.
