<Your frustration is likely to continue. People love their false dichotomies. There oughtta be a bumper sticker...
"You can have my false dichotomy when you pry it out of my cold dead brain cells..."

The Rabid Republican Right is stuck with false dichotomies because that's the way they are built. They have two hands, two feet, two ears and two eyes and those connect two halves of their weak chimpoid brains.

So things are black and white to the RRR.

King George II says to himself:

"Well, it's war or surrender."

"Good or evil?"

"With us or against us?"

"Up or down?"

"Cold or hot?"

Of course the RRR are saying to themselves, that's all very well, but on the other hand [giggle] the Looney Liberal Left [LLL] have got two of everything too, so what about them eh, Mr Smarty Pants? Which is excellent analysis and quite right [as against left, or wrong] and proves they are not as stupid as the LLL thinks.

The LLL are just like the RRR, but on the other side of the looking glass. So they see the same things, but back to front.

The RRR and LLL are two sides of the same coin. A reflection of each other. You'd think the RRR could have worked THAT out.

Now the octopus, on the other hand [that's three now] has got a whole lot of hands and they are obviously intelligent, even though they are "just" a mollusc without a shell to hide inside. No "shiny pebbles" for them! They don't get stuck in silly dichotomies. They aren't even restricted by a skeleton. Human joints can mostly go only two ways, back or forward. An octopus is really flexible.

Humans even see each other in black and white and have segregation laws and race wars. An octopus can change colour to suit the occasion.

It's a sad human condition to be stuck in dichotomies, which are always false, because the world is more like an infinitely-armed octopus, with an infinite array of possibilities.

We come to a fork in the road and think, "Okay, this is obviously a dichotomy. It's go down the Looney Liberal Left Lane, or up the Rabid Republican Right Road." But one could park the SUV, get out and wander off to look at the daffodils and prancing lambs over there in the field. Or, put the seat back and have a snooze and see what shows up.

Or do some genetic engineering and clip some octopus DNA into your offspring's zygotic genome so they have LOTS of arms, like that Indian Vishnu bloke.

To be, or not to be? That is the question!

PS: Bill Clinton was popular because he could change colour like a chameleon and he was like an octopus, especially with the ladies, hands everywhere! People recogized an advanced human form. JAllen and the RRR are jealous. They want to be like Bill.
