Exit strategy? Last I saw, "The White House said U.S. troops "will remain in Iraq" after the June 30 hand-over and troop levels will remain at the current 138,000 'for as long as necessary.' " abcnews.go.com

The South Vietnamese supposedly ran their own country as well. Did that make any difference to the the US troops who died there??? The fact that our military will try to prop up a puppet government isn't going to slow down anyone who wants to continue to harm people from the US (military or otherwise) who are in country. Who needs sophisticated weapons? These folks are raising unholy hell with car bombs and RPG's.

We've been here, man, and it wasn't that long ago. If you don't remember, read a history book. Whether you want to see it or not, Iraq is a nightmare.
