Searle, <Ralph will pick up quite a few votes in the forthcoming election...> I've heard the thought expressed that the dems are not so worried about him this time around since they believe he will drain as many bush votes as kerry votes. hard to imagine republicans being so disgusted with bush to vote for nadar, but some are at this point (in my personal experience).

re: Our First Victory Was Zapatero <The first victory of this movement came on March 14 with the election of Spanish prime minister Jose Zapatero. If democracy means anything at all, it means that public opinion matters. Zapatero understood that 80% of the Spanish people opposed Bush's war in Iraq, and he immediately withdrew all Spanish forces. It's a great pity that Kerry criticized Zapatero for this...> and then <I intend to vote for Kerry because I believe he is the only electable politician in America who might, like Zapatero in Spain, pay attention to public opinion...I believe that John Kerry will heed the call.> If i could make this leap of faith i'd vote for him too. but i can't.
