Re << personally I think we Americans on the whole have been way too intellectual for our own good. There is value to the simplicity that Bush brings in his viewpoint, and it's all about taking actions and getting results over worrying about the complicated details.>>

I could not disagree any more. Right now is exactly the time to use every intellectual means we have to our advantage. Falling into the simplicity trap is exactly what they want.

Re "They've already decided that our lives aren't worth spit"

It is worth a lot to them, so much so that they are willing to sacrifice their own lives over it. They want engagement in the most primitive ways, and we are giving it to them.

If simple rhetorics such as "good vs. Evil" and "moral clarity" is the blue print of our effort, then Osama is fighting his ways which benefits him more than us.

It is time for true conservatives to stand up and not follow Bush so blindly. Bush's fiscal tax cut and spend (and spend some more) has been a disaster, being Vicente Fox's bi*ch does not work for me and his divisive and cowboy style foreign policy approach has turn 9/11 sympathy to complete alienations and resentment. The strongest military, most financial resources, sympathy of the whole world and this is the best we could have done with it? And of course the only good thing about Kerry is that he is not Bush. I think I just stay home on November.
