This journalist misses the mark about Bush. Sure, he may be the scion of priviledge. But he himself is a Texan, in a way his father never was. GHW Bush was still the son of Prescott Bush, an Eastern Establishment WASP. GW Bush is from Midland, Texas, and want to be nowhere more than his ranch in Crawford. W has the cultural values that go along with the locale - conservative and religious.

Notice how the article never mentions this? It would spoil the story frame, how two sons of priviledge are struggling mightily not to be tarred with it. Don't want to mention that the two start at very different starting lines, simply because of who they are and how they come off.
