It is time for true conservatives to stand up and not follow Bush so blindly. Bush's fiscal tax cut and spend (and spend some more) has been a disaster, being Vicente Fox's bich does not work for me and his divisive and cowboy style foreign policy approach has turn 9/11 sympathy to complete alienations and resentment. The strongest military, most financial resources, sympathy of the whole world and this is the best we could have done with it? Well said! Its absolutely stunning how badly this whole thing has gotten screwed up. It almost takes my breath away. Three things that worry me most: that Bush et al are unrepentant.......they insist they are right in the face of mounting evidence that they are not, and now, that they have been misunderstood and badly maligned by the press; that many of their followers are still treating this as a partisan issue when its much, much bigger and has much broader implications for this nation and its future; and that the moderate Muslims in the ME are not objecting to the increasingly dangerous violence in their own backyard and, in effect, are giving their tacit approval of the terrorists and their agenda. They are seeing the US get their comeuppance, and unfortunately, liking it....... In other words, the voices of reason on both sides have fallen silent. Its their abdication of responsibility in this mess that has me most worried. If they don't speak up.......and with vigor soon........I worry where this will end. While things are not good......more people are beginning to wake up to the problem......I just hope its not too late. And of course the only good thing about Kerry is that he is not Bush. I think I just stay home on November.* Mani, trust me when I tell you that I am not in love with Kerry but you can not stay home on election day! No one of reason can.......I believe its that serious! ted
