Ted,
First of all you can call me Jim.

Secondly, looking at the incorrect grammer I used in that post I wish the ability to edit was longer than 15 minutes. I got caught up doing something else and miss the 15 minute window.

Don't worry Ted, I know how others in the world perceive us.
It's more complex that what you and I can spout off in a few sentences.

It didn't take a genius like you to predict how this war would go. The Liberals and Dems already knew how it was going to go because they control much the news. Pretty predictable since they were destined to nit pick every little thing and dwell on the negative rather than any positive. Face it, negative news sells! That's just the way it goes. It was also predictable that we would be "humane" to our own detriment while the other side just "beheads". Also that we would prosecute out own soldiers before Saddam even goes to trial.

As yes, maybe Bin Laden can keep his followers hyped up using Bush as a poster boy. Then again, Clinton was in there during a lot of terrorist activities so the hatred runs a lot deeper than Bush.

Personally I think trying to keep Iraq as a separate state is a mistake. Better to split it up. Just as the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia broke up when their dictator glue dissolved.

RE:"The only way to beat these people is to go underground and track them down one by one just like the Europeans are doing and the Israelis are doing with Hamas. If might made right, al Qa'ida would be a bad dream right now. Instead, it grows stronger by the day!"

OK, that might be a good temporary solution until the next Al Qa'ida crops up. You have hit on some of the underlying reasons for all this...much deeper than Al Qa'ida.

Heck, we can't or won't control our own borders...

Jim
