Urlman has posted a very good article on Java on the "will Sun bring down Microsoft" thread. I'd suggest that everyone read it. I feel that it presents both the pros and cons fairly. techstocks.com (Of course, I know where he is going with this - chips. Well, I agree, you gotta have chips - the VM on existing hardware is never gonna do Java right. We just happen to disagree on which are the right kid of Java chips. :) )
