Do you know why the FBI was converging on Weavers home with that large assault team? Because, after multiple requests, with Weaver refusing each time, an FBI undercover agent talked Weaver into modifying a shotgun for him. Weaver had declined several requests to do it, but finally agreed because he was offered several hundred dollars to cut the barrel of a shotgun and he was short on money! That's it. A few minutes with a hacksaw, clean up the burrs with a small file and get a couple hundred in his pocket. And for that, an assault team headed for his home to "arrest" him. Why is this rational?
