Little progress has been made on enhancing search for the new SI. Because of the size of the database, I simply can't do it the same way I do on iHub. Some searches take minutes.

I'll start off with only a subset of messages being searchable initially (likely the last 2 million public and 2 million private) then either write a different solution that can handle the whole database or see if Yukon can do the job better, whichever comes first.

I expect to be able to put some time in on search within the next couple of weeks. It got put on hold when I decided to rewrite everything (again) in ASP.NET rather than classic ASP. The search that the new version has is an ASP version that still needs to be rewritten, and the search database for it is no longer populated. At least where message searches are concerned. It searches threads and people just fine, and has no limitations. The whole thread and member tables are searched. And the thread headers are also searchable.
