Here's what you said: Kerri went to Nam for one reason, to help his future political career, he had it planned to quickly get three wounds and then he could skedaltal.
I don't care what you have to say about his first wound and the, "it looked like fingernail scratches" claim you attribute to his "commanding officer." The fact is that you made one of the silliest statements I've ever read on these boards and one that certainly doesn't meet the standards of the FADG thread.
The statement you made is confirmation of the fact that you'll imagine, believe or make up any negative slant you can place on Kerry, including slandering his service to his country which was, undeniably, terrifyingly dangerous and which he indisputably performed with outstanding gallantry.
Just so you know, the first purple heart I got in Vietnam left me with "fingernail like marks" on my right forearm. They were treated with a salve and healed in a few days.
The marks were from a 30 caliber machine gun that opened up on me from about 4 meters away. The bullets and powder from the machine gun passed through where I'd been a moment before as I was throwing myself backwards with my arms left out front. The marks were powder burns and a bullet graze.
And yes, the medic wrote me up for a purple heart.
Do you think I should send it back?
How many times have you been shot at in the service of your country?
Reading your posts and those of Andrew (I don't care about the truth) Cothran, brings to mind the words, ungrateful, dishonest, ignorant, and mean spirited. Hopefully most Americans will see you for what you are and judge the candidates on the facts and not on the basis of your smears. |
