Pakistan is a hotbed of terror. While the US has provided protection for it's President Musharraf, it is also engaged in training a small elite force to combat terrorism not so much with weapons as it is with intelligence so as to enable the US special forces to carry out the real operations. This is something that Kerry has always advocated. The Bush team has been doing so for the past 1 year but to the general public, the Bushies are projecting themselves as machos with their military might etc. This is typical of the neighborhood bullies and gang members' approach.
