I had the same problem with "The Passion"

It was a movie. That's all.

I was very glad it was made and that it was released and that it was so well received. It is important people know the Love of Jesus and understand his sacrifice for us and that salvation is offered through Him alone.

However, in the end, it is still Mel Gibson's idea of what happened. It is a movie, no matter how closely it followed scripture.
