I have six foot high fencing around the garden and orchard, and I had to put an electric fence on the latter. The rabbito guys seem only to be a problem, maybe, in the orchard in the winter, if they eat bark; I need to tighten up the fence. I had a wire around the bottom of the gates, which I took down. It was mainly to keep pigs from pushing thru. After yesterday, I had better replace it. Those phukinguys are like rototillers.
I watched that deer for about half an hour; sometimes she was watching me watching her. 2 boys came up after a while, too. They were back again this morning. I was mainly worried about some trees I planted last spring and didn't fence in; the deer seem to ignore them. One of the cats sat with me, watching them (and drooling on the keyboard, dammit). Cats don't seem to bother deer, since they don't start barking and running out the door. The big cats,as in Coug, just jump on them from trees. Cats like the hunt; dawgs like the chase.

PS Giants beat Bums last night, moved into first. Alfonso stays hot, 6 RBIs. Bonds still "slumping", but got another 2B to left. He's gone left a whole bunch lately, which is apparently his way of working thru bad times. Giants surprised me; I gave up on their chances a long time ago; 10 game winning streaks be good for improving the standings. Nice job, guys. |
