I can tell you don't know much about Lincoln's Presidency. Maybe you ought to research it. He wasn't King. More like Dictator.

Let's start with this: Immediately after Sumter, Lincoln suspended habeas corpus "for the duration". The matter went to the USSC. It ruled Lincoln had exceeded his Presidential powers and suspension of habeas corpus had to be done by Congress. Lincoln not only ignored that court ruling, but considered having the Chief Justice jailed.

He was also well known for having editors of papers critical of him jailed and arbitrarily dismissing judges whose rulings he didn't like.
