Well, we dropped "morons","imbeciles", two-party systems as well as IQ-tests long time ago.
However, we still have this traditional memory of "off the wall", when some were nailed or at least chained to a wall.

from Greek idiotes, private person, layman, from idios, own, private
However, that obviously takes a minimum of proportional representation and one idiote in every village, something we thing the congress should too (as it does, 4 or 5 mostly)
That moderate center party, similar support as the two other parties, 20-20-20%, obviously makes life easier for everyone.
