They could care less if America starts resembling a third world country. There are certainly parts of the U.S. that resemble a 3rd world country already, and have for years. Inner cities and some parts of the Deep South. All the Bush/Cheney cabal cares about is shaping the world in the interests of capital to maximize profits; that's what the Iraq war is all about. To the super-rich, countries and patriotism no longer matter, and haven't mattered for generations. They have more in common with each other than with the working slobs who populate their countries. And, their policies demonstrate this contempt, as they ingore the plight of their fellow citizens while hob-knobing with wealthy elites around the globe.

The U.S. is just another of many profit centers for their grand plan of world domination. They'd like nothing more than for the U.S. to devolve into a Bananna Republic, where the government doesn't matter, and the poor are exploited to the max. If they gave a rats ass about our country not slipping into the 3rd status, they'd at least upgrade our power system to bring it out of the 1950s. Sure, we have $200 Billion to wage a war, but rebuild the infrastructure in America? Are you kidding?!? This clan of Republicans are imperialists all the way. They have their sights set on exploting the world's resources, not rebuilding their own country. Which is why Kerry, while not necessarily a champion of the working class, would be a step in the right direction for America. We need to re-invest in America. I can't for the life of me understand why people support such assine policies like wasting $200 Billion on a war, when that money could be put to good use at home?!? Let's see what Kerry can do to turn this rotten turd around.
