Jim, I had to toss everything I've looked at so far. Find a HURC!! Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. When I was troubleshooting my modem I moved a file out of one program to save it so I could uninstall the program. The program used the modem so I wanted to make sure that it wasn't causing the modem problem. The file held my largest archive of small companies "on a mission". The whole file is encrypted. I reinstalled the program and now it won't take the file back. All this because my modem went bad! It's going to take me a while to rebuild the file. Grrrrrrr. A freind of mine had about 10% of them. He just sent them to me and I have to go through them. I will probably not be able to do my monthly "attitude" list on time. What I'm going to have to focus on is coming up with a report stock. What a sob story, huh? Doug R
