Thu 21 Aug 97 News Release
Mr Gary Perkins reports
Valu-net, a leading provider of Internet marketing solutions and technology has
commenced distribution of its proprietary Internet authoring software. The launch, on
Monday, August 18 1997, was accompanied by an extensive advertising campaign on
major radio networks in Toronto and Vancouver. The software is also being distributed
at The Festival of the Future at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.

Valu-net is offering the user friendly VIA Internet publishing software,
free of charge, to respondents to its advertising campaign. The software enables users to
create professional quality web sites and to publish them directly to the Valu-net server
system. Valu-net expects to have over 20,000 commercial web sites published to its web
server by May 1998. These sites will generate an initial one-time publishing fee as well
as continuing annual maintenance fees and transaction fees for electronic commerce
applications.

Faymar entered into an agreement with Valu-net International to acquire all of the
issued and outstanding shares of Valu-net. This transaction will constitute
Faymar's "Major Transaction" within the meaning of circular no. 7 of the Alberta
Stock Exchange. The application is proceeding smoothly through the necessary
regulatory channels and is expected to close in the near future.
