Wind is indeed a viable alternative. If you have the real estate. The discussion of a wind farm off Nantucket was shot down. It is a perfect place, but the rich folks could see the turbines and that just won't do.

I'm all for lessening or removing our dependence on foreign oil. Anything we can do to reduce our dependence on others, is best for our country. Anything we can do to lessen pollutants is good for us all.

Hydro is a perfect energy source. However, greenies go out of their way to stop hydros. I worked with hydros for 9 years. Non-polluting massive power gen capability. Canada and south america and china have units on-line that are bigger than nuke plants. We have some decent sized units too. Thank God they were built before the current set of whacko greenies were around, or else they would have never happened.

Moore won't raise awareness of alternatives. He has no one to blame, to hang out to dry and to try & embarass. He has no one to scapegoat, to accuse of not doing their job. A piece like that would focus on working hard, researching learning and bettering ourselves. Moore is not interested in that. He wants messy ugly difficult problems he can safely take shots at others attempts to remedy. He wants social ills to point at, over blow, skew and get people riled up about. In other words, he does not want to help. he simply wants to stir the pot. Always has.
