Saddam wanted to buid a nuke and sail it into the harbor in Israel and set it off. I'm pretty sure that was from his own people. A guy that want's to do something like that isn't going to support al qaeda? Even if he doesn't should he be allowed to stay in power? Not to mention all the other crap he did.
