A repeat of a post I made on the Valuation thread in response to a question about why prostate would be OK given the problems in the colorectal trial: The way they describe the problem - "cumulative drug toxicities in patients who had been previously treated with oxaliplatin" - leads me to believe that it was a problem with sensory neuropathy. Cumulative sensory neuropathy is the limiting toxicity of oxaliplatin by itself, and my guess is that epo simply added to this. If this is correct, it doesn't impact the issue of using epo in patients that haven't been heavily pre-treated with oxaliplatin. Peter
