That is a moronic statement. I simply told you that Government DOES have the right and the power to constrain or direct your behaviour, regardless of your personal beliefs. If your conscience comports with all the legal expectations of society, then your actions will not run afoul of those citizens empowered to deprive you of your liberty.

Society compels you to observe her laws. Society has the right to force compliance or to punish non compliance by removing your liberty. It doesn't matter what you believe...about ANYTHING! ALL your actions are constrained by the laws and the power of your Government. It is what Society believes which determines the rightness or wrongness of your behaviour--as well as the tolerance for it. Love it or leave it!

Yes, it is true. Asserting that Government has no authority or power to constrain or direct your behaviour translates DIRECTLY into the idea that you have the unrestricted right to act in accordance with your beliefs. And THAT idea is truly arrogant and moronic.

Claiming you have a right to act in accordance with your beliefs assumes carte blanche authority to ACT.
