a personal point of view: it's kinda situation like in Roman times, when a Roman citizen even in the darkest corner of the empire could appeal to the Emperor ("Appelo ad Caesarem").

Well, actually you did not need to, except if you were a hothead like St Paul, but otoh it was a nontangible, that made a huge difference.

Same with Ken. You dont need to apeal to him. But it feels good to feel the aura of (his?) authority.

Well, I just hope i have not overstated the case;) Pax vobiscum (ie Shalom / Salaam aleikum)
