Ah, let's see. that's 4 users per gig. On a 200 GB drive, that's 800 users per drive. At $160/unit, that's $0.20 subscriber.
If every man, woman and child in the US got a space like that, that would be $60m to be shared by the 4 major drive companies.

That's 400,000 drives total.

At a gross margin of 16%, that's an extra $10m of profit. If WDC gets normal market share, that approx $2.5 m/year, or approx an extra penny of earnings per year.

At a P/E of 10, that will raise the stock price by 10c.

Then, I guess the answer is a resounding YES!!!! The e-mail space race WILL benefit the DDs. To the tune of a dime.
