Give us a break. Suddenly the liberals who have been the enemies of liberty for years are concerned about the neocon's "attack on our freedoms". People who have supported confiscation of private property (many environmental programs), limiting political free speech (limitations on campaign spending), forced us to provide information to the government(government census)(income tax), and the list goes on, suddenly upset.

Let's face it the liberals don't care about the loss of freedom. They just object to someone else taking it. They are always ready to restrict our freedoms for their version of the good, the true and the beautiful.

If you are going to object to government infringement of our liberties be honest enough to admit that both parties and practically all politicians have taken our freedom at every opportunity and understand that if you don't object to every attack on freedom, whether by the left or the right, you will lose your freedom.

Regrettably, we are way down that slippery slope.
