Sorry BB but I think all of those are fairly sound. Most of you guys are dem's and you're still mad because bush "stold" the election. And you have all the answers but for some odd reason you keep losing at the polls. I can understand the bitterness but perhaps you should listen to your own answers when you find that the majority of people don't agree with you instead of asking me to examine mine.

I realize that everyone wants to believe that we invaded Iraq to make Haliburtons stock price go up but take a step back and ask yourself if the Iraqi people are going to be better off under a democratic system of government than they were under saddam who killed and tortured anyone who ever spoke against him. If your answer is no then we need not converse any further because you're not thinking logically.

Saddam convicted himself when he invaded kuwait back in the nineties and we should have finished the job back then. The same type of thinking which has rallied people to his cause now prevented decisive action from being taken then. How many Iraqi's died in the meantime and how many kurds died by nerve gas that could have been avoided if it weren't for those who spoke against further action then. If we hadn't invaded Iraq Saddam would have killed how many in the interim between when we first rolled through and he went to hide in his hole like the "sword of Islam" that he claimed to be? Maybe it's not our business to overthrow every despot in the world but when they threaten us and our allies they need to know that they are taking a risk.

Despite all of the propaganda thats gets posted here the Iraqi's are now and will be better off in the years to come.
It is well known that Saddam considered us his enemy and as far as "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" goes he likely as not gave support to anyone he thought would or could strike a blow against us. I don't need a signed agreement with al qaeda to know that he would kill any and every american he could. That knowledge gives me the ability to strike at him without guilt. Life and death is not a court of law. In the real world when you know someones out to get you and they make it know then you get them before they get you.

As for Israel why dance around the issue? The main driver of terrorist action is the palestinian israeli problem and even the Arabs who appear on the news admit it readily. You seem to want to steer scrutiny form that but like I said it is the absolute bottom line with regards to mid east problems.
