We did do nothing. There was a token effort to catch Bin Laden, but that was abandoned for the totally unrelated invasion of Iraq. Today Bin Laden is alive and well.

Apparently Bush's supporters don't think that the murder of 3,000 Americans is anything to get worked up over.
