da cheif, I think hitting the smallest kid in class who wasn't bothering you because some bully stole your lunch isn't productive, which is what this administration has done in the case of beating up on Iraq because it was weak. The Taliban is a different subject, as they were actually supporting Osama. It is the Texas way to go out in your pickup and beat up a stranger when someone else does something bad to you, but it is not the American way. Bush was afraid to corner Saudi Arabia, because they pay too much to his oil buddies, and SA was much more involved in 9/11 than Saddam. He was afraid to confront Pakistan which was selling nuclear materials to terrorists because they have nuke capability. Ditto plus some for North Korea and all the renegade former SSRs. Doing something that makes the situation worse and doesn't solve any problems is not the way to handle a threat. And then lying to the public trying to make them think there was a real reason related to US safety for the invasion and occupation of Iraq means that when there is a real threat, the public will be less likely to believe these yahoos.
