Undiscovered Gas Reservoir Found Near Sacramento NEW YORK, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- A small Arizona company recently found a large undiscovered supply of natural gas in the state of California - better known for its energy problems than its answers. Fidelis Energy, Inc. located this fossil fuel in the Sacramento basin. Initial tests on this first well show more than 12 million cubic feet of gas each day -- enough gas to provide electricity to more than 125,000 homes on a daily basis. The company is planning to drill up to five more wells on the property. Clean-burning natural gas is best known for home heating and cooking, but also has many other promising residential and commercial applications, including the supply of electricity. Natural gas currently accounts for nearly a quarter of the total energy consumed in the U.S. and continues to rise.
