Don't mean to "but" in, but have you looked into or tried Ceres? Any number of shares for $18.00 and Options for $35.00. The $18.00 is good for trading via internet, telephone touchtone, or speaking with a broker. They really don't have much else to offer in my opinion in regards to research or other "tools". Pretty much strictly execution of orders. I used them for about a year now. They have web cite if you are interested.
